Five romantic Meru-style tents on stilts with en-suite bathroom. From the veranda, you will have a very good view of the wide and wonderful floodplains. A nice swimming pool is located near the main building. A lighted path connects the rooms to the main building, where a bar and lounge can be found downstairs and the dining area upstairs.

Deep in the western Okavango Delta lies the small and beautiful island surrounded by dense papyrus swamps. The camp is built in a floodplain on an island with lush vegetation such as magnificent fig trees and date palms. During the high tides, Jacana is only accessible by boat from the Jao airstrip.

Jacana has the best location for water activities throughout the whole year. The wildlife consists of mainly water-loving animals, such as elephants, hippos, red lechwes and the rare sitatunga (both are antelopes), crocodiles and an infinite variety of water birds. Jacana is the perfect combination with other camps which do not offer mokoro rides.

80% water activities (traditional dugout canoe 'mokoro' and motorboat) and 20% game drives and night drives in open vehicles (only from September to May). Bush walks. Fishing (catch & release).

Two observation platforms are available in the area. Dinner under the stars on the deck near the water. Resident bull elephant "Jack". Opportunity to see Pels fishing owl.
