With only four large rooms in traditional safari style, Zarafa is quiet and intimate. The rooms have en-suite bathroom under the old, broad-leaved trees, copper bathtub and separate outdoor shower. Each room features a private pool and a big veranda that offers views over the Zibadianja Lagoon. A telescope is available. The rooms are extremely stylish and offer luxury and elegance for the discerned traveller.

Zarafa is located northeast of the Okavango Delta at the Selinda Spillway. The Spillway is since years heavily flooded and is the connection between the Okavango waters and the northeastern Linyanti and Kwando Rivers. Depending on the water levels of the two sides, the water flows in one direction or another. In some years, it even flowed in both directions, so flat is the country! The environment consists of different habitats and guarantees a large animal diversity.

The area is in winter (May to August) full of massive herds of elephants, and throughout the year full of wild animals such as zebras, antelopes, giraffes, wildebeest, etc. Predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs and even wild dogs are all here. Great birdlife.

Game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, bush walks usually possible.

The managers of Selinda and Zarafa Camps are Beverly and Dereck Joubert, who have become famous worldwide with numerous animal movies and photo books. http://www.wildlifeconservationfilms.com
One professional digital camera will be available in each room. The guests are free to use it. The photos will be burnt on a CD at the end of the stay.
There is a houseboat that they use for lunch trips on the lagoon.
