Kulala Wilderness CampSossusvlei

Ten elevated rooms with en-suite bathroom, veranda with spectacular views of the valley and mountain behind it. Pool, bar and lounge located in the main building.

The Kulala Wilderness Camp is in the arid Namib Desert in the Kulala Wilderness Reserve, near the Sossusvlei. Sossusvlei is the place that most people associate with Namibia: red sand dunes as far as the eye can see (up to 200m high, reddened by the clayey sand), dead trees in the Vleis (pans) which decompose slowing due to the dry climate. The result is the Vleis through the delta of the Tsauchab River, which flows 50km away into the Atlantic. In the rare years with good rainfall, the Sossusvlei area will be flooded with water and all sorts of flowers and shrubs will sprout everywhere.

Sossusvlei is situated within the Namib Naukluft National Park. The area is home to some desert species such as springbok, oryx, ostrich and numerous small animals.

Excursions in 4x4 vehicles, nature walks. Not to be missed: Hot-air balloon ride followed by champagne breakfast! Unforgettably beautiful!
