The Etosha National Park is the premium safari destination in Namibia where you can also drive there yourself. The size is almost that of Switzerland and is thus one of the largest national parks in Africa. The park consists of the Etosha salt pan, where the salt bathes the entire area and even the animals in a whitish light. The Ongava Tented Camp is located in the Ongava Game Reserve, near the edge of the south of the Etosha National Park.
In the dry months, the animal observations are fantastic. All the animals gather at the water points, so instead of going on a game drive, you could simply linger at a water point. The main wild animals, such as elephants, giraffes, lions, cheetahs and rhinos, are all there.
Game drives in open 4x4 vehicles within the Ongava Game Reserves and the Etosha National Park. Bushwalks and rhino-tracking on foot are possible.
Family room available. The Ongava Game Reserve provides uninterrupted access to the beautiful surroundings and wildlife of the Etosha Pan. In the Ongava Game Reserve, in addition to the Ongava Lodge, there are also the Little Ongava and Ongava Tented Camp. An observation platform overlooks the water hole at the camp and offers great photo moments.
