Six luxurious, spacious safari tents with en-suite bathroom, indoor and outdoor showers. The tents are built on a raised platform, and therefore they have a wonderful view over the plain in front of the camp. The spacious main building has a beautiful deck with a fireplace, pool and a boma for traditional evenings.
The camp is situated in the heart of the Busanga Plains in the Kafue National Park. In the vicinity of the camps are permanent waterways and floodplains, that are only under water during and after the rainy season.
Starting from the onset of the dry season, there are large herds of antelopes and buffaloes wandering on the plains, followed by the usual predators: lions, wild dogs and cheetahs. The prides of lions sometimes grow to a considerable size of up to twenty. Shumba means lion. The Busanga Plains are also a paradise for bird lovers: there are 491 different species.
Game drives in open 4x4 vehicles, night drives. Day trips with picnic and hammock.
