Travel and Care
The animals and nature reserves around the world are precious resources and must be protected. But this can only succeed if the locals could also benefit from it. It cannot be emphasized further to the locals that photo safaris bring better returns than long-term hunting safaris and poaching. It is essential that children understand why you are traveling to Africa as a guest and that the animal and plant life are not to be taken for granted - because the children will determine the future.
Because of this, every year several camps are closed to guests and "Children in the Wilderness" invites local children to spend a week with them in the wilderness. Here, many of the younger guests see for the first time a predator in the wild. Together with the guides and lots of fun packed into the game drive, the children learn to respect the animals and the environment.
SwissAfrican supports "Children in the Wilderness" by donating regularly to the children.
